Karen Rupert Keating, AB '76
Karen Rupert Keating is a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division of JPMorgan Chase in New York City. She is responsible for overseeing due diligence for debt and equity securities underwritings and is a member of all Commitment Committees globally. In addition, she is responsible for oversight of collateral risk management. Karen has been with JPMorgan and its predecessors for 35 years, as a banker, head of the Global Syndicated Lending division, and she established and built their Corporate Banking business. She has held her current role for the past 5 years.
Karen is an active recruiter for JPMorgan, holds leadership positions in several internal women’s networking organizations and is involved in multiple ways with her alma mater, Cornell University. She served two terms on Cornell’s Board of Trustees and was a member of the Finance, Audit, Investment, Student Life, and Development Steering Committees and Chaired the Alumni Affairs Steering Committee. Karen was appointed a Trustee Emerita and a Presidential Councilor. She is a member of the Johnson Graduate School of Management Dean’s Advisory Council, is Senior Sponsor of the JPMorgan investment banking recruiting team and the creator of the Women’s Power Lunch Series, co-sponsored by JPMorgan and the JGSM Office of Women and Minorities. She has been a member of The President’s Council of Cornell Women since 1992 and the Alumni Athletic Advisory Council. Finally, she is co-Chair of the Class of 1976’s 35th Reunion Campaign.
Karen is married to Tom Keating, Williams ’73. They are the proud parents of David ’10 and Anne Yale ’13.
