Randall C. Chafetz, MBA '85
Randy Chafetz is the Head of Corporate and Investment Banking for the Americas (“CIB”) of The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. (“BTMU”). He currently serves as a member of the Bank’s North America Executive Committee, U.S. Management Committee, and an oversight member of the Latin America Executive Committee.
Prior to rejoining BTMU in 2008, Mr. Chafetz was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Bank’s broker-dealer, Mitsubishi UFJ Securities (USA), Inc. (“MUS”). He had previously headed both Investment Banking and Capital Markets for MUS. Mr. Chafetz joined The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, Ltd. (“BTM”) in 1998 as the Head of Capital Markets from UBS where he headed the Private Placement and Structured Finance Capital Markets groups. Prior to UBS, he spent ten years at Credit Suisse First Boston (currently Credit Suisse) in a variety of private placement, capital markets and structured finance roles, including over four years resident in London, where he was responsible for the origination of all US debt products.
Mr. Chafetz sits on the Advisory Counsel of the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. He has previously served as the National Chair of The Johnson Annual Fund, as well as Chairman of the Dean’s Leadership Council.
Mr. Chafetz received his MBA from Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of British Columbia.
