Shari Aser is the IBM Business Unit Executive, Tivoli Software for the East Region. Her responsibilities include managing and leading the strategy for the east region Tivoli sales organization. In her prior role, Shari was the Sales Execution Business Unit Executive for the East Region. Her responsibilities included designing and recommending strategies and sales plays around the SEIs for the East Region.
Previously, Shari was the Global Sales Integration Executive for Coremetrics recently acquired by IBM. She was responsible for the overall success of the integration of Coremetrics’ global sales organization into the IBM Software Group. In leading this effort, Shari helped Coremetrics leverage IBM for global reach and market strength.
Shari also held the position as the IBM Software Sales Manager for Financial Markets and Insurance. She managed a team of sales reps covering financial services firms including: Goldman Sachs, Metlife, AIG, and NY Stock Exchange. Prior to this role, Shari was the Client Exec for Goldman Sachs and Client Rep for The Bank of New York.
Shari joined IBM as a Data Management Sales Specialist after graduating from Bucknell University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. She serves on the Bucknell Alumni Board of Directors. Previously, Shari served on the Bucknell Engineering Alumni Board of Directors where she was the Admissions Committee Chair and led the Women in Engineering Initiative for the University. In addition, she is an Alumni Interviewer for the office of admissions, an active volunteer with annual giving, and the recipient of the Young Alumni Award.
Shari completed her MBA from Johnson at Cornell University in May 2010 and is currently serving on the Johnson School Alumni Board. She is also the Training Manager for The Junior League of the City of New York. Shari received the Outstanding Volunteer of the Year award from the Junior League in March of 2011. Shari is a member of The Women’s Bond Club where she received the Rising Star award, and was the President of the Fairfield County Delta Gamma Alumni Association.
