Weeks at Johnson seem to seriously fly by. I can’t believe that next weekend marks the beginning of finals for the first half of the core! Homecoming was a blast (photos below) but its time to get serious for these finals as the first half wraps up.
As I write this post, I am sitting on the Cornell Campus-to-Campus bus on my way back to Ithaca from NYC. I spent today at a conference run by a digital marketing think tank called L2. Today’s conference focused on utilizing digital and social media marketing in the luxury retail space – something I’m particularly interested in. I learned a lot attending this conference – in particular that mobile and especially tablet marketing are growing exponentially. The other attendees at the conference were marketers from various luxury brands and I feel like I met some great people as we head into the recruiting period for next summer’s internships.
This past week we had our last Econ and Accounting quizzes, as well as a case study in Marketing. On Tuesday night, the Women’s Management Council hosted a lovely evening of vinyasa yoga at a local studio – which was seriously appreciated following the accounting quiz.
Aside from hitting the books this weekend, I hope to spend some time enjoying the ridiculously gorgeous autumnal weather Ithaca has been experiencing (photo below from Beebee Lake at the Cornell Plantations). Ithaca is truly gorges this time of year and I hope to appreciate it before its cold and dark for the next 6 months! A couple things on tap are the Downtown Ithaca Apple Festival and some hard cider tasting at Bellwether Hard Cider.
