It's been quite a while since I updated but that now means I have a lot to share! I am writing to you from the Third Ward in Milwaukee, Wisconsin while Summerfest, the largest outdoor music festival in the world is happening. I am in the exact middle of my 12-week internship with S.C. Johnson in Racine, WI. I've gotten a lot of, "Why would you ever move from NYC to Wisconsin???" Well, it was the...

I remember this time last year, I had received a call that changed my life. I was very fortunate to receive a Consortium for Graduate Study in Management (CGSM) Fellowship. The Consortium is an alliance of 17 leading American business schools and over 75 top corporations, whose mission is to enhance diversity in business education and leadership by helping to reduce the serious under-representation of African Americans, Hispanic Americans and Native Americans in both its member schools’ enrollments and the ranks of management.  Any U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident (regardless of race or ethnicity) who can demonstrate a commitment to this mission is eligible to apply for membership in the Consortium and admission to any of its 17 member schools through the Consortium’s common application process.Once the application is complete, the schools unite in early March to choose their fellows and members in what seems to be an NFL draft! ...

No, this isn't about Admission Round 2 acceptances, though I've received a few excited emails about interview invites and campus visits. I love meeting prospective students that are that much closer to being the new class next year. I interviewed before I submitted my application, but I received my acceptance in February last year and I remember how happy I was, so I can relate to them. So the round...

I must admit, I heard the above term many times before starting school, but I don't think I reaaaally felt it until this quarter started. Sure, last quarter was very busy, I learned a lot and became highly involved in the Johnson community, but this quarter grows hair on your chest. I know it's been a while since I've written, but that's the case in point. The time flew that quickly and yesterday was...

I write to you from the Campus to Campus, an express coach bus that travels between Ithaca and the Cornell Club in NYC on a daily basis. That’s right - I’m heading back to Ithaca from fall break in NYC! It was short and sweet. I just ran into two of my classmates on the bus and we chatted about how we spent our breaks. It’s a really comfortable ride, and there is Wi-Fi on the bus, so I can get my blog...

After surviving midterms, the next big deliverable was the SCJ Case Competition. This past Friday, each of the core teams had to give its recommendations on a case provided by the Marketing Faculty. It was pretty fun. All throughout Sage, groups of 4 or 5 could be seen in business formal, preparing to present in breakout rooms, or in the Atrium decompressing because they had already gone. It was also...

I was born in Houston, TX, but have spent the majority of my life in New York City and hail from amazing Colombian parents. I love traveling and experiencing new cultures, cooking all sorts of foods, dancing salsa and trying out new dance workouts, like Zumba. I received a B.S. in Economics in from the Wharton School and spent my time since graduating in financial operations at Bear Stearns, Citi and...
