My name is Ryan. I moved around quite a bit during my youth. Each move allowed me to experience different parts of the world and cultures. I truly lived the military creed of "home is where the Air Force sends you." While my parents continued to move for a few years after I graduated high school I settled myself in California.
After attending the University of California, Davis I was all set to begin my career in the Biological Sciences specifically Plant Genetics. However after a few years, I found that I had a greater draw to Information Technology. I started over working my way from the bottom of the IT ladder to Project Manager/Analyst. I currently work for Children's Hospital Oakland as a Network Systems Analyst implementing any range of projects from desktop deployments to Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
When I am not working or studying you can find me relaxing playing music. I am an accomplished brass player (trombone and baritone) and continue to play from time to time with the California Repercussions and the San Francisco Renegades. Also, I love the outdoors. I enjoy hiking and camping. I try to make I try to do those leisure activities with my wife and my two and half year old son anytime my schedule allows.
I look forward to sharing my experiences on the CQEMBA program.
