07/26/2012

Fred Staudmyer elected to board of directors of MBA Career Services Council

Frederick K. Staudmyer, assistant dean and director of the Career Management Center at the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management, was elected to the board of directors of the MBA Career Services Council, the leading organization for career services professionals in MBA programs and employers who hire MBAs. He is one of 17 board members for the council, which has members from over 200 MBA programs and corporations in the U.S. and abroad.

Staudmyer’s election to the board was announced at the council’s annual conference in Seattle in June 2012. He joins fellow board members from other top business schools, including Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, MIT Sloan School of Management, UCLA Anderson School of Management, and Stern School of Business, New York University. Among his responsibilities will be co-chairing the council’s research and trends committee, which identifies and commissions specific research, to benefit member career management centers and employers.

“This is an opportunity for me to bring to Johnson the best practices being using around the country, to learn from them, and for the school to be on the inside track for the latest knowledge around MBA careers,” Staudmyer said.

In addition, Staudmyer will also speak on behalf of MBA career management centers, as part of the council’s efforts to raise awareness of trends in MBA recruiting and employment.
