BISSELL Homecare, Inc., Joins Corporate Partners Program for Emerging Markets Institute

The floor-care appliance manufacturer joins Citi in collaborating with Johnson's research and knowledge hub in emerging markets.


The Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University is proud to announce that BISSELL Homecare, Inc., has joined the Corporate Partners Program for its Emerging Markets Institute (EMI).  The partnership will enable Bissell to help shape the course of EMI as a research and knowledge hub in emerging markets through collaborations with Johnson students, faculty, staff.

Richard Coyle, MBA ’86, Executive Director of EMI, said, “We are very excited to have BISSELL Homecare on board with us.  There will be significant opportunity for student engagement as BISSELL expands its footprint in emerging markets.  The partnership will also promote knowledge sharing which will allow EMI to advance its mission of becoming the leading business educator in emerging markets.”

The Institute was established in 2010 to educate students to operate effectively in emerging markets and to impact the business challenges in these rapidly developing economies.  The institute has become a premiere international program in emerging markets research and education by bringing together preeminent practitioners, academics and business leaders.

BISSELL Homecare will be joining Citi, which became a corporate partner in 2011. EMI is presently accepting inquires from additional corporations wishing to benefit from the collaborative, knowledge-driven mission of the institute.
