"To tax or not to tax?" The Johnson professor of economics lends his POV to a rich discussion on NPR

In response to Warren Buffett's latest move - a call to the 'super rich' to be taxed more and his own statement, "My friends and I have been coddled long enough by a billionaire-friendly congress," Prof. Frank told NPR, that taxing these folks more would make a difference to the deficit, that overall tax rates are too low (based on percentage of income) and that taxing the rich more would NOT grind the economy (in terms of job growth) to a halt.

Stephen Moore, editorial board member and senior economics writer for the Wall Street Journal, also joins the discussion and wholeheartedly disagrees and says that, although the nation clearly does need more revenue coming in, overtaxing the rich would doom the economy.  MORE
