The pair turn a potentially partisan debate into a thoughtful, collaborative discussion at a Johnson event and on Bloomberg radio

On Friday, Sept. 23, Dean Joe Thomas of Johnson at Cornell University hosted the "Meeting of the Minds," an event at the Cornell Club in New York City. The event featured political satirist and renowned libertarian PJ O'Rourke in a 'debate' with  Johnson's own self-described "radical pragmatist who almost always votes for Democrats, " Professor of Economics, Bob Frank.

Following the invitation-only Meeting of the Minds, the pair took their discussion, and brand new friendship to Bloomberg radio's Surveillance Podcast series.

The event and subsequent radio broadcast highlighted how supposed political opposites are able to find common ground and, through thoughtful discussion, arrive at ideas that make a lot of sense toward potentially alleviating current economic woes.

If you think these two would be at each others'' throats on issues of economic stimulus, taxation and 'fairness,' listen HERE.
