General Casey is one of the most accomplished soldiers in U.S. history and arguably one of the most successful organizational leaders, having led the U.S. Army – with 1.1 million in personnel worldwide and a $200+ billion budget – through one of its greatest periods of transformation.
As Chief of Staff, General Casey is credited with modernizing the U.S. Army for 21st century threats, restoring balance to war-weary troops, and building the Iraqi security
institutions, which established the conditions for our country’s long-term success. Prior to this post, General Casey commanded the Multi-National Force, a coalition of more than 30 countries, and successfully guided the Iraq mission through its toughest days.
