Management Practicum

In the fall semester, you'll take a Management Practicum. This course has lectures and most importantly work on real business projects for major corporations, guided by our consultant in residence. Other faculty and a team advisor provide guidance on issues as needed. You can undertake projects with companies in biotech, technology, finance, pharmaceutical, or other industries of particular interest to you. During the course of the project, students conduct interviews, analysis, and group work sessions. The practicum culminates in a two-week internship experience on-site at the company working with their staff and presenting the results of the work to senior management.,

Career Preparation is built into our management practicum. As part of your foundation project experience, you'll engage in arguing your case before experts, reviewing your resume with alumni, and practicing interviews with peers and alumni.

As many recruiters and students have noted, the degree to which Johnson students help one another is astonishing. It is not unusual for students to work together to prepare for interviews with the same recruiter. All are strengthened through such preparation.
