Amanda R. Simpson
Program Coordinator, Center for Sustainable Global Enterprise
Amanda R. Simpson is the Program Coordinator for the Center for Sustainable Global Enterprise. She is responsible for coordinating daily administrative, organizational and operational activities. In this role she interfaces with students, corporate partners, and affiliated faculty and collaborators of the Center.
Prior to joining the Center, Amanda worked at Cornell's Engineering Co-op & Career Services for two years. As Co-op Assistant, she helped students find internships and successfully complete a structured 28 week program.
Amanda joined Cornell after three years at Guthrie Healthcare Systems as the Medical Student Coordinator. During that time she worked with medical universities to coordinate electives, internships, and academic rotations for students. She played an active role in recruiting and retaining medical students for Guthrie's Residency Programs.
Amanda graduated with honors from Corning Community College in 2001 with an AAS in Humanities/Social Science. While at Corning she was awarded Most Distinguished Chapter President with Phi Theta Kappa for her dedication, service, and volunteer hours in the community. While at Cornell, Amanda has been active in the Elves Program, Professional Development and the Sunshine Committees. She also serves on the boards of NYSCEEA and CCC Alumni Association.
