6th Annual Alliance for Research in Corporate Sustainability to assemble more than 50 leading minds from North America, Asia, Europe, and the U.K.
The Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University is hosting the leading conference of researchers in business sustainability issues, May 7 to May 9, 2014. The 6th Annual Alliance for Research on Corporate Sustainability (ARCS) Research Conference takes place at Sage Hall on the Ithaca, New York, campus.
More than 70 researchers from top universities and colleges worldwide will present research on business and sustainability issues—both social and environmental—from all disciplines and methodologies. Some 30 paper presentations and roundtable sessions are planned for the three-day conference.
“Hosting the leading thinkers on sustainability in business is a perfect fit for Johnson,” said Glen Dowell, associate professor of management and organizations and faculty affiliate of Johnson’s Center for Sustainable Global Enterprise. “We have a long history of conducting research around these issues, and of educating the business leaders who will embrace the findings of the research presented at the conference.”
The Alliance for Research on Corporate Sustainability (ARCS) is a partnership among academic institutions created to provide data and networking opportunities to facilitate research on corporate sustainability. ARCS helps develop greater understanding of the opportunities and limits of policies and strategies to create sustainable businesses by facilitating rigorous academic research. Johnson has been a member institution of ARCS since 2009 and has been represented at each of the ARCS conferences.
