Shashank Verma is the co-founder and director of CleanStar Energy, a research and development firm that is focused on ethical and sustainable biofuel solutions for India and other developing countries. Shashank is also the First Trustee of CleanStar Trust, a non-profit focused on the development and roll-out of innovative models that utilize Pongamia and other trees as a tool for stimulating economic development in marginal farming communities.
Prior to founding CleanStar, Shashank was the team-leader for a study on biofuel market potential for the Planning Commission, Government of India. Shashank did his MBA (with distinction) from the University of Oxford, where he focused his studies on the production and use of biodiesel in rural Indian environments. Prior to his MBA, Shashank worked 5 years in the Indian Telecom sector after graduating as a computer engineer from REC Kurukshetra.
Archana Devar is the India Coordinator of CleanStar Trust, a non-profit focused on the development and roll-out of innovative models that utilize Pongamia and other trees as a tool for stimulating economic development in marginal farming communities. Before CleanStar Trust, Archana was deeply involved in the formation of New Ventures India (the green business development accelerator established by Sohrabji Godrej- GBC, USAID and WRI) where she assisted the Director with developing and managing the Green Investors Network, the Steering Committee, PR and Media. Archana has training in business management and marketing in the UK and India.
Archana is also a Director with Devar Power Ltd. a renewable energy company with a focus on run of the river hydro power projects and has been an active member of the Indian Youth Climate Network, a coalition uniting Indian youth Indian youth organizations concerned about Climate Change.

Ashok Kamal is a social entrepreneur currently enrolled in Baruch College's Honors MBA program in New York City. At Baruch, he serves as Co-President of the Sustainable Business Club, Baruch's graduate Net Impact chapter. Prior to business school, Ashok completed his undergraduate studies in Sociology and Environmental Policy at Boston University, and earned a master's in Nonprofit Management from Milano - The New School for Management and Urban Policy. Ashok's professional experience spans the private, public and nonprofit sectors, including serving as Director of a youth development agency and launching an independent entertainment company.
Most recently, Ashok interned at KLD Research & Analytics, the pioneering sell-side research firm for socially responsible investors, and worked on Newsweek magazine's inaugural Green Rankings issue. In 2009, Ashok also co-founded Bennu, a social enterprise dedicated to creating and marketing quality, stylish bags out of recycled plastic bottles.
Shashank Kumar is a post-graduate student at Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (2008-10). Prior to IIM Calcutta, he completed his engineering graduation course from Jaypee University of Information Technology, Solan (Himachal Pradesh, India) and worked for the Indian IT major, Infosys. During his post-graduation, he interned at Nokia India Pvt. Limited and worked on a project with top Indian telecom operators such as Airtel, Idea and Reliance. In December 2009, he founded the first campus marketing blog coming from an Indian B-School, www.themarketers.in.
