Prior to joining Johnson, Johann was a member of the institutional equity team at Morgan Stanley for 6 years. In this role, Johann advised senior portfolio managers at Canadian financial institutions on investment strategies relating to US and global equities. Johann is also co-Founder and Executive Director of Bright Futures of Burkina Faso, a Canadian registered non-profit with microcredit, agriculture and education projects in Burkina Faso. As an EFII Fellow, Johann wants to study how private enterprise and free capital markets can form the basis for sustainable development in emerging African economies.
Johann holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Finance from Concordia University and is a CFA charterholder.
