A full-time Communications Specialist at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Carly Hodes works in marketing and public-relations to promote Cornell's biomedical research, animal health services, and professional education programs. She began pursuing an MBA part-time in 2012. A proponent of the One Health concept, which links the health of people, animals, and the environment, Carly aspires to use marketing and sustainability strategies to bolster efforts in these fields.  Her prior experience at Cornell's Lab of Ornithology and the Ohio production studio Acoustik Musik honed her skills in multimedia content marketing and simplifying complex scientific topics to engage wide audiences. While working for Kessels & Associates, a New Zealand environmental consulting group, on a project that enabled a large wind-farm installation with mitigation packages to minimize ecological effects, Carly developed a strong interest in using business to achieve positive health outcomes for people, animals, and the environment.
