Divya Natarajan is passionate about sustainability as a life choice and hopes to incorporate this into human centred design and sustainable strategy. Working as a designer and researcher, her area of interest is the framing of sustainability at the intersection of design process, human behaviour and organizational strategy. Her work on sustainable human settlements at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India focuses on creating social, economic and physical infrastructure for sustainable development of rural communities in a participatory process. She also has experience working on sustainability planning and design of land development and building construction in both residential and commercial sectors in India. Her graduate research thesis is on environmental attitudes, behaviors and decisionmaking processes which affect design preferences and consumer choices.
