Afolabi is pursuing a master's degree in chemical engineering with a concentration in energy economics. At Cornell, he is working to develop a dynamic quantitative model to predict the demand, supply and price of natural gas in the United States. Prior to attending graduate school, Afolabi worked with Lummus Technology as a process design engineer. At Lummus he worked with teams to design a variety of units for refineries and petrochemical plants around the world. Afolabi hopes to gain a deeper understanding of sustainability.
