5-Year Bachelors/MBA

If you are an exceptional Cornell undergraduate with demonstrated leadership potential, the five-year bachelor's+ MBA program can give you a fast start on your career. We accept only a handful of students to this program, and we look for outstanding grades, proven leadership potential, and personal maturity.

Advance Planning

Begin the admissions process during the fall of your junior year, taking GMATs early in the fall and creating an online application. The Johnson Admissions staff holds information sessions weekly during the fall semester. See our admissions events calendar and call the admissions office at 255-4526 for more information.

You will need to complete all the requirements for your undergraduate major by the end of your junior year. Then, during your senior year, you must take all of the Johnson core courses and apply these to your bachelor's degree as free electives.

There are no undergraduate course requirements to apply for this program, but you will likely find that taking several quantitative courses better equips you for the rigor of the Johnson MBA program.

Enrolling in Johnson courses prior to applying for admission will not necessarily enhance your chances for acceptance, nor will they be applied to Johnson MBA graduation requirements.

The amount of scholarship funding available for 5-year dual-degree students is very limited. You will be considered for it, however, along with both federal and private loan assistance.
