Ethan grew up in the United Kingdom and Norway before moving to the United States.  He has since become a U.S. citizen and continues to travel to Europe and the Far East.  He maintains fluency in reading, writing, and speaking Korean, and he comes to Cornell University's Emerging Markets Institute with a breadth of knowledge in Korean geopolitics and business climate.  Prior to Johnson, Ethan studied interdisciplinary engineering at the Cooper Union and worked at a couple of financial law firms in New York City.  Most recently, he worked as a case manager on the Bernard Madoff Bankruptcy Litigation.  Those experiences gave him the opportunity to work with both the quantitative and qualitative aspects of business, especially in international settings, and he plans to build on that foundation here at Johnson.  Ethan is currently a member of Cornell's Graduate Professional Student Assembly and the BRB Advisory Board.
