Born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia, Pascal Christian graduated from Universitas Padjadjaran with a Bachelor and Doctor in Medicine. He started his career practicing as a physician but was drawn away to entrepreneurship when he realized that there was a substantial need for a healthcare infrastructure in Indonesia. With two of his friends, he co-founded SPOTMED Group, a venture-funded healthcare IT startup where he developed partnerships with 15 large hospitals in the region and negotiated deals with XL Axiata and Research in Motion, among others. At Johnson, Pascal aspires to get more in-depth knowledge regarding macro and micro-economic developments and is particularly interested in healthcare financing in emerging markets. Outside of work, he enjoys travelling, playing guitar, and eating delicious ethnic food.
