I was born in Reno into a US Army family, moved most of my life. I grew up in many
places, but upper California was my true home as we spent summers with my extended family. I tried my hand at a degree in astrophysics at the University of Colorado at Boulder, changed my mind halfway through and ended up with a degree in chemical engineering. To pay for school, I joined the Army ROTC and graduated straight into the military and marriage to my wife Jessica.

I did well in the military, traveled to almost as many places as during my childhood, but
wanted to try my hand at engineering. Five years in I left the military and joined Baxter Healthcare as a materials engineer. Over the next few years I moved through project and program manager roles. Prior to my eighth anniversary with the military, I was deployed by the US Army to Iraq to work with local government officials on
reconstruction. When I returned, I began looking for direct leadership roles and was
recruited by GE Healthcare.

I have 3 daughters and currently live in Bellevue, WA. My passions are reading,
outdoors, leading and mentoring. I joined the CQEMBA program to gain knowledge and tools for me to increase my ability to create sustainable value for the organizations and the communities I am a part of. I have an avid interest in entrepreneurship and
participate in related networking and learning opportunities with Cornell and within my
local community.
