My professional experience spans entrepreneurship, project management, securities trading, investment analysis, and risk management.  From a large institutional, large corporate, hedge fund, start up, and to a regulatory organization, I have not failed to innovate. Steve Jobs once said "Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower."
I have worked as a capital markets proprietary trader at TD Securities, as a financial analyst for a hedge fund Vertex One, as a derivatives trader and applications developer at Phient, and as a Regulatory Analyst at the Alberta Securities Commission.
I recently earned my CFA designation in 2012 and on May 26, 2013, I completed my first marathon. I am passionate about finance, science, and architecture.  I enjoy jogging, hiking, and walking my dog.
When I graduated from the University of Calgary, I was lured to Toronto to work for TD Securities as an associate on the capital markets trading floor where I stayed for over 4 years.  During this time, I learned to be a profitable trader in FX and fixed income securities in addition to the development of TD's first capital markets CRM and Global FX Orderbook.  I was a dealer on the spot CAD desk and then a proprietary trader on the Debt Capital Markets Prop Desk.
My desire for entrepreneurship led me to co-found an online business building trading engines for FX and fixed income securities.  After living through the "Dotcom" bubble bust, I headed out west to Vancouver to work for a hedge fund as a financial analyst and associate portfolio manager.
In 2006 my desire for entrepreneurship again led me to co-found an algorithmic trading company specializing in volatility trading of equity index and commodity futures.
