John Hui is an accomplished sales executive and entrepreneur in the healthcare industry. His sales, marketing and entrepreneurial experiences cover industries of clinical laboratory, medical imaging, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, consumer packaged goods and advertising. He has won multiple top performance awards at Fortune 500 companies such as LabCorp, Abbott Laboratories and Schering-Plough.
John has been leading the China business for BioSense Medical Devices, a company specializes in developing and distributing glucose monitors. His responsibilities range from the initial market entry strategy, regulatory approval processes, business development, strategic alliance and product launch campaigns. John has been involved with several start-up companies. He is the co-founder of Reliant Diagnostics, a radiology management company that specializes in offering mobile ultrasound solutions to physician practices. He also co-founded a China based new media start up that won the Silver Prize of 2008 China Business Plan Competition in 2008. His entrepreneurial route started with a successful event marketing business he built from his college dorm in Shanghai, which served multinational corporations, such as P&G, Nestle and Toshiba.
John is currently studying in the 2015 Class of the Cornell-Queen’s Executive MBA program and is an associate in the Fellows Program of the Johnson School’s the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute (EII.) He has initiated and led the strategic alliance between EII and BluePrint Health, one of the leading healthcare tech accelerators in the country. John received his BBA in Advertising from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College and has studied Public Relations at East China Normal University. He currently serves as a Mentor for the Executive on Campus program at Baruch College to coach Baruch students on their career developments.
