Summer is a busy time for our Executive MBA programs at Johnson!
It all kicks off Memorial Day wee
kend with commencement ceremonies. This May, over 220 students graduated from the Cornell Executive and the Cornell-Queen’s Executive MBA Programs. They participated in a combined commencement ceremony and party, celebrating with each other, their families, and friends. Many graduates noted that while they are happy to have their MBA’s in hand, they will miss their classmates and the scheduled opportunities to meet, learn, and network. And, speaking for our team, we will certainly miss seeing them in the boardrooms, at Palisades, and on campus in Ithaca!
Just one month later, we began welcoming the Class of 2016 to campus for their first residential sessions. In late June/early July, we welcomed over 160 students to the Cornell-Queen’s Executive MBA Program. These students were divided into 2 sections of 80, and spent a week at Cornell and a week at Queen’s. It’s always great to see students from across North America come together to embark on this universal experience of learning and growing as professionals.
Then, in late July, we welcomed over 140 Cornell Executive MBA students to campus. The members of the Class of 2015 were enthusiastic in greeting the new Class of 2016, as both groups spent a week at Cornell to begin the academic year. These two classes will continue to netwo
rk and connect over the next year during class weekends and the upcoming winter session in Ithaca.
Looking ahead, in September, our admissions team will begin accepting applications for the Class of 2017. In the meantime, we’re planning admissions events, brushing up the website, and connecting with applicants. We are also making some exciting changes to our application! I’ll highlight those changes in my next post.
Until then, enjoy the summer and, as always, reach out to our team with any questions about our Executive MBA programs!
