Shigeki Makino
Visiting Senior Lecturer of Finance at Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management

Shigeki has spent 20 years in the investment management industry as an equity analyst, Director of Research, and a portfolio manager. In addition to his recent stint managing global equity mutual funds and institutional accounts, he has always had an interest in coaching and mentoring younger professionals, and served as both a Director of Research at Fidelity Investments and Head of the Young Analysts group and MBA Summer Internship program at Putnam Investments.

After graduating with a MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Shigeki spent 10 years at Fidelity Investments in Boston, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and London. Most recently, he worked at Putnam Investments in Boston where he managed global equity portfolios. Shigeki currently lectures at Cornell University to both undergraduates and MBA students at Johnson while working closely with both the Cornell and Harvard College chapters of Smart Woman Securities.
