Round 1 is due October 12th, but the adcom is ready to start reading submitted applications this week.  If your application is complete, send it in!  The admissions committee will begin meeting once first reads are completed.

We've received a few inquiries about our new short answer "legacy" essay question.  Similar to the chapter headings essay, there isn't a wrong answer or way to approach this question.  But here are a few ways to approach it:
-You can focus on how your personal and professional goals fit into our community.  For example, if you're interested in consulting, you may focus on Big Red Incubator and our consulting passport.  For investment banking, consider Old Ezra or asset management, the Cayuga Fund.  You can also focus on ways you want to be involved with social organizations.
-A different approach may be to think about how you will continue to be involved as alumni.

The important piece is linking yourself to our community.  It is one of our pillars which emphasizes the kind of culture we have at Johnson.  It is something we protect and distinguishes us from our peers.  Johnson is the type of community that will give whatever it takes to help a colleague, classmate, and friend.  Whether you are looking to connect with senior or recent alumni, current students, or faculty, someone is always willing to help.  It is a rewarding, fun, and supportive network.

For a complete listing of our organizations, visit:

Lastly, please be aware of the word limits:  "why MBA" essay is 400 words or less, "chapter headings" essay is 400 words or less, and "legacy" essay is 200 words or less.  Essays should be clear, concise and only need to answer the question.  If you bring a strong application, we will be excited to offer an interview and learn more about you.

We look forward to reading your applications!
