The Johnson Class of 2014 is officially settled and I couldn't be happier. In admissions, we look forward to the day we can look up and see the many faces we have waited to welcome into our doors. Johnson's orientation day this year had something different in the air on Sunday afternoon. Maybe it was MBA second year, Jose Gaztambide, who so eloquently gave words of wisdom in a humorous and insightful way (as he always does) through his journey from CIA, Investment Banking, Energy, and several other industries. Or maybe it was finally getting to hear from our new Dean, Soumitra Dutta, with an impressive background that has brought him to Johnson. Dean Dutta compared his orientation to Johnson as comparable to what the new class is also going through right now. Dean Dutta movingly told the story of why he chose Johnson - a similar question to what the current class asked themselves. In that answer, he emphasized community and the heartfelt generosity and genuiness found within Cornell and Johnson.
Thank you Dean Dutta and the Class of 2014 ... you have already made Sage a great place.
