Travel and Accommodations for the Weekend
The Tompkins County Airport serves Cornell University and Ithaca. US Airways, Delta, and United fly into Ithaca. Alternatively, you may fly into the Syracuse Airport with more options for airlines. It is approximately one hour and fifteen minutes away. There are taxi services at the Ithaca Airport to transport to campus. The Ithaca Airline Limousine services the Syracuse Airport, but you must call two days in advance and reserve a space on their van. They charge approximately $80.00 one-way and $110.00 round trip per person from Syracuse. The phone number to reserve a space on the van is (800) 273-9197.
For those traveling by bus, Ithaca is served by Greyhound, New York Trailways, and ShortLine bus systems, as well as the Cornell Campus-to-Campus Bus from New York City to Ithaca.
For those who would prefer to stay at a hotel during the Destination Johnson weekend, we have reserved a block of overnight rooms at the Courtyard By Marriott Ithaca for $189.00/night. To make a reservation, call (866) 541-3600 and identify association with the Destination Johnson. All reservations should be made prior to the release date of March 14, 2014.
Check out the Visiting Cornell page for more detailed information on transportation and accommodations in Ithaca.
