Kima McCoyThe Forté Foundation, a consortium of major corporations, business schools and non-profit organizations that directs talented women towards leadership roles in business, has announced that Kima McCoy, MBA ’11 has been selected as a winner of this year’s Forté Edie Hunt Inspiration Award.  Information about the award, named for Forte’s Board Chair Emerita, Edie Hunt, a Managing Director and Co-COO of the Human Capital Management Division at Goldman Sachs can be found on the Forté Foundation web site.

Selection for the award, which is open to students at all Forte-sponsored schools, is highly competitive.  Kima distinguished herself to the selection committee through her significant Johnson/Cornell leadership initiatives for women (including helping to organize the inaugural Johnson Women in Investment Conference, and serving as a mentor/advisor to a Cornell undergraduate organization for women interested in investment management), as well as her other leadership roles as a Cayuga Fund portfolio manager, member of the Johnson Board Fellowship Executive Team, an officer in the Veteran’s Club, and her very strong performance in interviews with the Award Selection Committee members.  In short, she represented Johnson exceptionally well.

Kima will be officially honored with this Award at the Forte Foundation’s Women MBA Conference on June 10th in New York City.
