The Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) will host several on-campus events this fall to connect alumni, current and prospective students, and corporate business diversity partners. We invite you to join us at the following events celebrating Johnson’s diverse community.
Next month, Johnson alumni, faculty, students and staff will unite for our third annual Diversity Symposium: Diversify Your Portfolio on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012. Diversity Symposium is a student-led collaboration between the Black Graduate Business Association, the Latino Business Students Association, Out for Business, Women’s Management Council and Cornell’s undergraduate Minority Business Students Association. During this event, Dean Soumitra Dutta will recognize Hernan Saenz, MBA ’98, as the 2012 recipient of the Distinguished Latino Alumni Award and Maynard Brown ’76, MBA ’83, as the recipient of the 2012 Wilbur Parker Distinguished Alumni Award. Alumni Affairs and ODI will host a pre-Diversity Symposium networking reception for all attendees on Friday, Oct. 26, 2012.
ODI will also welcome 100 diverse prospective students to campus for our annual hosting weekends. At these events diverse applicants will learn about the Johnson MBA through class visits, seminars, and receptions, as well as experience the support they can expect from ODI and the entire Johnson community. Johnson Means Business will be held on Oct. 25-26, 2012 in conjunction with Diversity Symposium, and Johnson Women in Business will be held Nov. 8-9, 2012.
These initiatives would not be possible without the generous support of our alumni and corporate partners. We hope to see you soon at one of these great events!
