Scott Asay

Scott Asay is a Ph.D. candidate in Accounting at the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. His research centers on psychological and economic factors that influence financial reporting decisions. His dissertation examines how the time horizon between reporting periods affects managerial optimism, and how this horizon-induced optimism increases income-increasing earnings management. Scott holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University. He will be on the Accounting job market during the 2012-2013 academic year.
