Energy Sector Specialist, Institutional Equity Sales, Maxim Group

Eliecer is responsible for generating trading and investment ideas for Maxim Group's institutional clients in the oil and gas space across various parts of the capital structure. In this role, he also covers risk arbitrage and special situations opportunities in this sector. Prior to joining Maxim Group, he was the Energy Analyst at Carrelton Asset Management, a natural resources-focused long/short equity fund, based in Houston. Previously, Mr. Palacios traded crude oil, refined products, and natural gas derivatives for Citigroup's energy trading unit based in Houston; his counterparties included major oil and gas producers and utilities. Prior to Citigroup Energy, he worked as an Energy Analyst for a long/short equity energy/utilites fund at Tribeca Global Management, a Citigroup multi-strategy hedge fund. Mr. Palacios began his career as an analyst at Salomon Brothers Asset Management. He obtained a B.A. in Economics from Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico and an MBA from Johnson at Cornell University.
