Heather Carillo, Fidelity Investments
Heather Carrillo is a portfolio manager for Fidelity Asset Management. Fidelity Investments is a leading provider of investment management, retirement planning, portfolio guidance, brokerage, benefits outsourcing and other financial products and services to more than 20 million individuals, institutions and financial intermediaries. She currently manages Fidelity Export and Multinational Fund.
Ms. Carrillo joined Fidelity in 2000 as an equity research intern covering the satellite industry. She joined the company full-time in August 2001 and managed Select Transportation Portfolio from December 2001 to December 2003. Ms. Carrillo managed Select Air Transporation Portfolio from August 2002 until December 2003, Select Banking Portfolio from March 2004 until January 2006 and Select Computers Portfolio from April 2006 until March 2010. She began managing Fidelity Export and Multinational Fund in February 2010.
Prior to joining Fidelity, Ms. Carrillo was an equity research associate with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter Discover & Co. in New York from 1997 to 1999. She was responsible for maintaining coverage of real estate investment trusts (REITs) and real estate finance companies. She constructed models, marketing information, databases and new valuation analysis. Ms. Carrillo began her career in financial services in 1994 at Alex Brown & Sons Incorporated in Baltimore, Maryland. She was an investment banking analyst responsible for developing and executing a wide variety of advisory transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings and valuations. In 1996, she became an associate in the acquisitions division of a $1.4 billion private equity fund at Westbrook Partners LLC, in New York. She was responsible for analyzing, structuring and executing a wide varietyof private debt and equity real estate transactions.
Born in 1971, Ms. Carrillo received a bachelor of science degree in economics from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania in 1994 and an MBA from Columbia Business School in 2001.
