Who should apply?

Professionals with significant experience and advanced degrees or certifications (listed below) are eligible to apply. Professional certifications and/or advanced degrees may be awarded credits at the start of the program. We encourage you to Check your Eligibility for the program and if you have any questions or would like to gain a deeper understanding of the One-Year MBA, please schedule an Admissions Consultation with a team member.

Amelia Murphy, MBA ’15, JD ‘16 – Dual-Degree Candidate, MBA and JD‬ shares personal insight about the pursuit of an MBA at Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management and what she enjoyed most during her dual-degree experience in conjunction with the Cornell University Law School. At Cornell University, students can earn an MBA along with another Cornell degree in a compressed timeframe.

Program format

Key features of the One-year MBA in Ithaca include:

  • Begins and ends in May. A 10-week summer term for orientation, core courses, leadership and professional development work with other one-year candidates
  • All remaining courses/electives feature a mix of one- and two-year classmates
  • A semester-long management practicum featuring real business projects
