Why I chose Johnson
Choosing Johnson was a testament of faith. When I learned of my acceptance I knew instantly that I would be embarking on a life-changing journey. I wanted to attend a business school where I would be challenged to step outside my comfort zone, but also feel supported. My experience at Johnson has exceeded my expectations. I am grateful and proud to be a member of this community.

My Experience at the Women’s Welcome RetreatOn August 22, I had the pleasure of participating in Johnson’s first annual Women’s Welcome Retreat held on the Cornell University campus. The women at Johnson are truly a group of talented and brilliant individuals. I am in awe of the diversity of thought and experience demonstrated by my peers. Celebrating authenticity was one of the key themes at the retreat, and I am eager to see my peers bring life to their deepest aspirations.
The experience was a tremendous boost of positive energy, and I left with several actionable ways to move closer to realizing some of my professional and personal goals. The general conversation was honest, open, and encouraging. It’s humbling to know I have the support of so many individuals here at Johnson. The Women’s Welcome Retreat not only reinforced my understanding of the strength of the Johnson community, but it also reinforced my belief that I made the right decision to attend Johnson.
I am grateful to have had the opportunity to engage with the women of Johnson in such a powerful way.
About the Office of Diversity & Inclusion
Johnson's programs in support of women in business include our partnerships with the Forté Foundation, 85 Broads and GMAC to reach prospective women and encourage them to apply to business school. Johnson also hosts annual Johnson Women in Business (JWIB), Johnson Women in Technology (JWiT) and the Parker Center's Women in Investing (WIN) conferences to engage female students with current students, faculty, staff and prominent alumnae.
ODI partners with student clubs such as the Women's Management Council and Forté at Johnson to host events and provide support for members, and also encourages students to attend the annual MBA Women International (MBAWI) conference.
