MPS in Management Prerequisites

Students interested in the program should have an undergraduate minor in business, or its equivalent. A limited number of students who majored in a business discipline at the undergraduate level will be admitted and offered a customized graduate curriculum.

For Cornell students and alumni interested in the MPS in Management, the prerequisites can be satisfied by completing the undergraduate business minor before matriculation. This designation includes the following undergraduate minors from across the University:

An undergraduate degree, with the completion of the Cornell Undergraduate Business Minor, the Dyson Business Minor for Engineers or the Business Minor for Life Sciences (or equivalent).

For students from other institutions, coursework will be evaluated to determine equivalency to one of the above paths to qualification. Students interested in the program should have at least an undergraduate minor in business, or its equivalent. Satisfactory completion of coursework in all of the following areas is considered a business minor equivalent: Economics, Statistics, Business or Management, Financial Accounting, Finance, and Marketing.
