Cornell Connections
Johnson School students have access to a prodigious depth and breadth of opportunities at Cornell University -- faculty, research, organizations and a vast network of enterprising, successful alumni. They're all part of an innovative, university-wide entrepreneurship program.
- Entrepreneurship and Personal Enterprise Program (EPE) brings together faculty and courses from all across Cornell, sponsors public lectures, campus networking events, and a summer internship program.
- Cornell Entrepreneurship Network (CEN) is a wide-reaching network of alumni and friends with interests in entrepreneurship. More than 9,000 Cornell alumni have attended CEN events in 9 cities since 2001.
- Cornell Silicon Valley (CSV) provides a regular series of activities designed to connect Cornellians in California's high-tech businesses with Cornell faculty, students and other alumni.
- Start Up Cornell, initiated by a group of science graduate students, alumni, the EPE Program, and the Johnson School's BR Ventures, and now run by BR Ventures, is a "Pitch Practice" session held multiple times a year for aspiring entrepreneurs who may or may not have business experience. Entrepreneurs have 10 minutes to present their business ideas to a panel of venture capitalists and/or successful entrepreneurs and a live audience. Questions are invited, and the panelists offer critiques and advice on how to improve the pitches. Start Up Cornell has become a significant learning resource for all who participate.
