Program Format

The program is four terms of approximately equal length separated by a summer break. Each term begins with a week in residence on the Cornell campus in Ithaca, NY. Following each of the four residence weeks, classes meet on alternate weekends (Saturday through Sunday) at the IBM Palisades Executive Conference Center near New York City.

Residential sessions
Each of the four terms starts with a residence week on the Cornell campus in Ithaca, providing an invaluable addition to the program's alternate weekend meetings. Designed for intensive course work, the residence weeks provide a unique opportunity for interaction with faculty and classmates.

While on the Cornell campus for the residence weeks, you will attend classes in Sage Hall, a recently renovated Victorian landmark that provides sophisticated technology in a unique educational setting. You will stay at the Statler Hotel, managed by Cornell's internationally known School of Hotel Administration. Located directly across the street from Sage, the Statler provides complete hotel services in a luxury setting.

Alternate weekend classes
Following each residence week, the program meets on alternate weekends (Saturday through Sunday) at the IBM Palisades Executive Conference Center near New York City. Typical weekends comprise class meetings, occasional guest speakers, and group meetings. For all Cornell Executive MBA students, class weekends include a Saturday night stay at the Conference Center, meals, and breaks.

The IBM Palisades Executive Conference Center, strategically located on a secluded site of more than 100 acres, is less than 15 miles from Manhattan and within 30 miles of all New York City and area airports. Combining the most advanced conference and meeting technologies and offering more than 200 guest rooms, IBM Palisades provides the ideal setting for Cornell's Executive MBA Program. Classes meet in state-of-the-art classrooms; each guest room is equipped with an Internet-enabled IBM computer. Other facilities include a gourmet restaurant, world-class fitness facilities (including an indoor lap pool and outdoor running trails), lounge and recreation areas, and full hotel services.
