Sustainable Global Enterprise
Key Features
SGE Boot Camp
The Sustainable Global Enterprise Boot Camp is a key component of the SGE Immersion. It is held each January, 10 days prior to the start of the spring semester. The boot camp is an essential part of the immersion experience and is mandatory because:
Establishes a common base of knowledge for the Immersion cohort which includes both Johnson and non-Johnson students,
Provides students the opportunity to develop a personal development strategy for a more effective career; and
Enables teams to begin scoping projects directly with sponsor organizations.
The Boot Camp is led by Mark B. Milstein
, director of the Center for Sustainable Global Enterprise and lecturer of strategy, innovation, and sustainable global enterprise, and Stuart L. Hart
, the Samuel C. Johnson Chair in Sustainable Global Enterprise.
Topics covered during the boot camp:
The Big Picture: Developing a Sense of the World, Part I and Part II
The Evolution of the Corporation and Global Capitalism
A Sense of History: The Evolution of Business & Sustainability
The Sustainable Enterprise
Project Scoping: Company Meetings
Project Scoping: Scoping Presentations
