Jeffrey F. Berg, BS '79, MEng '80, MBA '81
JEFFREY F. BERG ('79, MEng '80, MBA '81) is Director Emeritus at PRTM Management Consultants. Jeff's professional career was spent with PRTM, strategy and operations management consultants to technology-driven businesses. During his 23 years with the firm, he was Chief Operating Officer (COO), lead director of the Industrial and Process Technologies business group (serving clients in the A&D, Automotive, Industrial, Chemical, and Consumer Products industries), and lead director for the Operations Excellence practice area. Jeff also was responsible for starting PRTM's European consulting business, spending three and one half years working in the UK. He also served as a founding director of the Performance Measurement Group, PRTM's benchmarking subsidiary. Prior to joining PRTM, Jeff spent time working for Exxon, Arthur Andersen, and Xerox in various IT and supply chain management positions.
Mr. Berg is an alumni-elected member of Cornell's Board of Trustees where he serves as Vice Chair of the Alumni Affairs Steering Committee. In addition, he is President of the Class of '79, VP of Communications for CACO, Board Member of eCornell, Vice Chair of Cornell's Major Gifts Committee, member of the Metro New York Tower Club Committee, Chair of the AA&D Committee of the Johnson School Advisory Council, member of the CAU Advisory Board, and Co-chair of Theta Delta Chi's Capital Campaign.
In addition to his Cornell activities, Mr. Berg is the summer camp promotion and finance chair for Westchester-Putnam Council of the Boy Scouts and a board member of Jewish Family Congregation where he chairs the temple's fundraising activities.
Jeff received a BS in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering, a Master of Engineering, and a MBA all from Cornell.
Mr. Berg and his wife Debra Paget reside in Goldens Bridge, NY. They have three children – Samantha (Cornell '09), Lowell (Ohio U '12) and Blake (Syracuse '12).
