Greetings from Ithaca! It's the start of a fresh new year, and we have new face in the Alumni Affairs office. I am pleased to welcome and introduce Tara Taylor to the Johnson School alumni community. She joins our team as assistant director of Alumni Affairs at the Johnson School, working closely with our regional alumni club and reunion programs. Since her arrival on August 7th, Tara has already been on the road meeting with our regional leaders in Boston and New York. In addition, she has interacted with a number of our other regional club leaders on planning events for the upcoming year. [more]

The Career Management Center Wants You!
Associate Director - Finance Career Advisor
The Johnson School Career Management Center is seeking an Associate Director - Finance Career Advisor for Johnson School MBA students focused on finance careers. This position is responsible for lectures, training programs, special events, small-group meetings, and individual advising sessions. The students' interests in finance include investment banking, sales and trading, research, managerial finance, private equity/hedge funds, and investment management. Assist international students targeting finance in understanding options and alternatives. Initiate and build relationships with employers in finance both domestically and internationally.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years experience. MBA and 7-10 years business finance experience preferred. For more information and to apply.

The members of the new class, who represent a highly diverse spectrum of backgrounds spanning the globe, include Fellows at firms located in Australia, India, Japan, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK, and Vietnam, as well as in the United States. Thomas Krauss, MBA '98 Thomas Krauss, MBA '98, founds Empower Another
Thomas Krauss, MBA '98, is the founder of Empower Another, www.empoweranother.org, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping HIV/AIDS orphans in Swaziland and other impacted areas in the African region. "It's exciting to be on the cusp of providing much needed support to some of the children I've come to know outside my day job on Wall Street," writes Krauss, a managing director at Wachovia Securities. He met the children who inspired him to found Empower Another on a trip to Swaziland, and has set up the organization with the help and support of his contacts at the U.S. Embassy and the U.S. Government's HIV/AIDS Coordinator in Swaziland.[more]
