Club leaders show dedication
We've enjoyed a gorgeous fall season in Ithaca, and our regional clubs have been busy. As mentioned previously, this year we are focusing on our regional clubs and our overall support within the regions domestically and internationally. This month I have some exciting club news to share.
First, on behalf of the Johnson School community, I would like to extend thanks and appreciation to Jeff Fenigstein, MBA '02, for serving as president of the Johnson School Club of New York. He has recently stepped down as president and is relocating to the Bay Area in California. As president, he led a group of extremely dedicated alumni board members who value alumni engagement, relevant programming, and alumni networking. We are pleased to announce that Shital Desai, MBA '00 and Tatiana Rosak '93, MBA '98, have moved up from board members to serve as co-presidents of the Johnson School Club of New York, with over 2,190 alumni in the region.
The time and dedication that regional alumni volunteers provide to the Johnson School allows us to engage more alumni. Therefore, I would like to recognize some additional new regional club leaders. Greg Hubbell, MBA '02, and Jennifer Tegan, MBA '01, are serving as the new co-presidents for the Johnson School Club of the Finger Lakes with over 300 alumni. Brett Blumenthal '95, MBA '04, joined us last spring as president of the Johnson School Club of Boston with over 700 alumni and has focused on getting Boston newsletters out monthly to regional alumni. Philip Kelton, MBA '00, and Ryan Folger, MBA '04, have taken on the role as co-presidents for the Johnson School Club of Chicago, IL, with approximately 275 alumni. Recently, they hosted Dean Swieringa in Chicago and held two separate alumni events for the occasion. Sam Czertok, MBA '04, joined as the Johnson School Club of Houston, TX, contact with over 80 alumni in that region. President of the Johnson School Club of Seattle, with over 160 alumni, is Cathy Hsieh, MBA '96, with Jenny Anderson, MBA '06, serving as the new communications chair. As a recent graduate, Jenny can convey a lot of new things happening at Sage Hall. Lastly, Timothy Takacs, MBA '99, is our most recent international leader serving as the alumni contact for the Johnson School Club of London, with over 100 alumni.
Thanks to our veteran leaders who continue to amaze us with their enthusiasm for the school: Dan Berler, MBA '02, in Atlanta, GA; Scott Taylor, MBA '90, in Southern California; Sarah Brubacher, MBA '99, in San Francisco; Deepesh Jain, MBA '02, in Washington, DC; and Abra Benson, MBA '04, in Philadelphia.
We have numerous other domestic and international alumni contacts, and I encourage all of you to reach out to the club contacts and get involved! Also, if your travels take you to other cities where we have clubs, I invite you to visit the alumni events page on our Web site-we may have an event scheduled when you're in town. You are always welcome to attend no matter where you live.
Currently, I am finishing up a trip to Asia and India with Dean Swieringa where we've had great opportunities to meet with many of our active alumni. I look forward to sharing news of our travels in future issues of SageConnection.
All the best,
