Connecting Students with Alumni

As we reflect on Reunion 2008 and kick off another fall semester at the Johnson School, we find that our constituents want more and more interaction with one another. Our students are inspired when they communicate with alumni and our alumni benefit from learning about the latest happenings at Sage Hall.

Recognizing that this connection is rewarding for both alumni and students, we decided to create a formal Student Alumni Ambassador program. More than 128 students have signed up to be alumni ambassadors so that they can engage with alumni in a variety of ways. They can serve as hosts during Advisory Council weekend meetings; participate in the reunion outreach phone-a-thon by calling alumni celebrating their anniversary years; call and thank alumni donors for their gifts during the Annual Fund thank-a-thon; attend regional events; and volunteer during reunion weekend. Seventy of these student ambassadors represent the class of 2009 and more than 50 represent the class of 2010.

We have an outstanding group of students and I encourage you to interact with them when an opportunity presents itself.

As always, please contact the Alumni Affairs Office if you have any questions or ideas by emailing us at alumni@johnson.cornell.edu or calling us at (800) 847-2082, ext. 2.

Sincerely,

Karrie
