Entrepreneurship and Private Equities

The Johnson School's immersion in entrepreneurship and private equities provides a wonderful opportunity for Corporate Partners to interact closely with the school's students and faculty. Combining rigorous academic coursework with hands-on field experience, this immersion course provides students with integrated, experiential learning.

Directed to students interested in starting high-growth businesses or engaging in private-equity investments (venture capital, leveraged buyouts, or mid-range mergers and acquisitions), this program is taught by successful entrepreneurs and Johnson School faculty. Recent practitioners participating in the program include Roy Ryan, cofounder of Ascend Communications, and Jess Reyes, vice president for research at Venture Economics. In addition to entrepreneurship and private equity, the course addresses such topics as managing operations, strategy, valuation, and strategic alliances.
