Connecting with Students
Week in Silicon Valley
In January 2003, Johnson School students interested in careers in the high-tech industry will journey to California's Silicon Valley. Interacting with a wide range of technology companies-from fast-growing startups to Fortune 500 manufacturers-students gain valuable exposure to some of the most successful high-tech corporations in the world.
Through topical discussions and site visits, students interact with these leading technology providers and network with influential professional contacts. At the same time, participating companies are able to get a first-hand look at top-caliber business students highly motivated to work in this industry.
Beginning with a kickoff event addressing current issues facing technology companies, the Week in Silicon Valley continues with site and plant tours, interactive case discussions, topical discussions, and abbreviated recruiting sessions. During these discussions, students often bring fresh insights to particular issues a company may be facing.
