Connecting with Students

Week on Wall Street

On January 7-10, 2003, Johnson School finance students traveled to lower Manhattan in an annual Johnson School tradition. The Week on Wall Street enables students to participate in a number of substantive interactions with key investment banking firms, and attend a number of alumni and corporate relations events, including a major keynote address given by a chief executive on Wall Street. The 2002 Week on Wall Street keynote was given by Joseph Perella, Chairman, Institutional Securities Group, Morgan Stanley.

This innovative event affords first-year MBA students an opportunity to learn more about investment banking, network with executives at prominent financial institutions, participate in cases and topical discussions, and learn of employment opportunities.

Opportunities for participating in the Week on Wall Street, and other Johnson School investment-banking activities:

  • Provide a guest lecturer for the Johnson School's Investment Banking immersion course

  • Host a site visit during the Week on Wall Street

  • Cosponsor a networking event, such as Women in Finance or Minorities in Business

  • Host admissions receptions and dinners for recruitment candidates
