“By definition, the Cornell-Queen’s Executive MBA Program is an international program. With the addition of boardrooms in Colombia and Mexico, we have expanded geographically beyond the United States and Canada and are an additional step along the path of building the broad international program that we envision.” said Joseph Babcock, director of the Cornell-Queen’s Executive MBA Program.

Information about Colfuturo
In Colombia, students in the Cornell-Queen’s Executive MBA Program can apply for financial support from Colfuturo, a joint public and private sector initiative aimed at facilitating the access of Colombian professionals to further education abroad. This is the first program eligible for Colfuturo financial support where the students do not have to be engaged in full-time studies outside of Colombia.
Colfuturo’s financial support program includes funding of US$25,000 per academic year, or US$50,000 total, to successful applicants. Part of this funding (25%) is provided in the form of a scholarship that does not have to repaid. The balance of the funding (75%) is provided as a loan that must be repaid over the five years following the completion of the program.
Given the start date of the CQEMBA program of approximately July 1 each year, Colfuturo has altered the schedule for application review and will begin making decisions in April. Applicants should note that the funding decisions made by Colfuturo are done on a competitive basis after reviewing academic accomplishments and other application materials. More information on the application process can be found on the Colfuturo web site. The deadline for Colfuturo applications is May 31.
