MD/MBA Dual Degree Program

This dual-degree program is designed for physicians who aspire to be leaders in major health organizations, pharmaceutical companies and biotechnology firms.
Students in Weill Cornell Medical College are eligible to apply to the Johnson School for the Accelerated MBA program before their fourth year of medical school.
Those who undertake this dual degree take a one-year leave of absence after their third year at the Medical College. During this year, they undertake the Accelerated MBA program, beginning in the summer and completing degree requirements by the following May.
Completion of the MBA degree in one year is made possible by providing medical students with 15 credit hours of advance standing, leaving them to complete 20 hours of core and 25 hours of elective courses to fulfill the 60-hour MBA requirement.
